Management Team

Guy W. Millner has served as the Chairman of the Board since June 2003. Mr. Millner served as Chairman of AA Holdings, LLC, the predecessor of AssuranceAmerica Corporation, a Georgia corporation, from 1999 to 2003. From 1961 to 1999, Mr. Millner served as Chairman and Founder of Norrell Corporation (NYSE), a leading provider of staffing and outsourcing solutions.

Joseph J. Skruck, CPCU, was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of AssuranceAmerica Insurance Company and AssuranceAmerica MGA in May 2016. Since 2002, when he joined AssuranceAmerica, Mr. Skruck served as President and Chief Operating Officer of AssuranceAmerica MGA. He served as Senior Vice President of Sun States Insurance Group from 1998 through 2001.

Mark H. Hain has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since February 2009. He served as Senior Vice President since August 2005 prior to becoming Executive Vice President. He served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Norrell Corporation from 1988 to 1999 and as General Counsel for American First Corporation, C.L. Frates & Co, Inc. and the Oklahoma Insurance Department prior to 1988.

Daniel J. Scruggs has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AssuranceAmerica Corporation, AAMGA and AAIC since September 2012, and AVP of Finance from October 2009 to September 2012. Mr. Scruggs has 22 years of experience and has served in various financial and accounting leadership positions within both public and private companies. Prior to joining the Company, he served four years as Director of FP&A and Asst. Treasurer of ChoicePoint (an insurance data and analytics company acquired by LexisNexis owner Reed Elsevier).

David H. Anthony has served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President since August 2010 and Vice President of Information Technology from March 2004 to August 2010. Mr. Anthony has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Vice President of CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants for four years and 12 focused in the area of consulting.

Troy Druhot serves as Vice President for Product and Sales. Mr. Druhot brings over 25 years of product management and overall general insurance management experience, including 15 years with Infinity Insurance Companies as a Vice President of Product Management. Prior to joining AssuranceAmerica, Mr. Druhot served as Senior Vice President at American Colonial Insurance Company from 2009 to 2013.

Daryn Perkins, SCLA serves as Vice President of Claims. Mr. Perkins has over 29 years of claims handling and claims management experience. Prior to joining AssuranceAmerica, Mr. Perkins worked as the Claims Director at Director General insurance for 5 years, specializing in non-standard insurance claims management. Prior to Direct General, he worked for GEICO and USAA for over 20 years in various adjusting and management roles.

Nick Schaedle serves as Director of I.T. and Data Warehousing. He joined AssuranceAmerica in 2007, following 12 years with Answer Financial and Litton Data Systems. Mr. Schaedle earned his MBA with California State University, Northridge with a 4.0 GPA. During his tenure to date with AssuranceAmerica, he has significantly extended AAIC’s Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence capabilities.
